Mission 101: Goal 101: Donate $5.00 per unfinished goal to Humane Society/Local Animal Shelter

101. Donate $5.00 per unfinished goal to Humane Society/Local Animal Shelter

Won't complete the EU play goal, so I'm going to drop it from the list and owe $5.00

I need an incentive to finish the goals! I picked this because I'm already doing something for the local animal shelter, and if I don't donate money from this mission, it won't hurt them...I won't feel like I'm taking money away from them. Does that make sense?

Mission 101: Goal 100: Eat one vegetable serving each week

100. Eat one vegetable serving each week

Completed 43 of 143

I hate vegetables, but at least this way, I'm accountable at least once a week! Going to try that V-8 Fusion stuff this week....

The V-8 Fusion isn't bad, I drink a 16 oz glass at one time, that's two servings of fruit and two servings of vegetables. If that's the only way I eat them, yeah, I'll pay for it.

We had chicken and dumplings (Complete with peas and carrots) and I ate them all! 2 helpings over the week!!

Yeah, back on WW, so this should be a slam dunk.

Mission 101: Goal 99: Go 2 months w/out buying from Amazon twice

99. Go 2 months without buying from Amazon twice

Completed 2 of 2

DONE!!!!

Last purchase - 3/1/08

Again, was doing good, then I decided I needed August Rush DVD. I pre-ordered it. I should probably qualify both of these last two goals (98 & 99) by saying that I won't buy for MYSELF. I did go to Amazon and get some little things for others, but it was not impulsive and I was very conservative with what I bought. I'm very impulsive when buying for myself from these two sites. I need to curb some of that, that's why I put these goals in.

Okay! yay! It's May 7 and I've not purchased anything from Amazon. I guess I sort of cheated on this one, I *did* preorder a few things, but the money didn't actually leave my account until after May 1. Next time I do this, I'll make sure not to pre-order anything!

******

Last purchase - 5/16/08

I have some things on pre-order, but I didn't count them last time, so I think I'll go to Amazon now and pre-order ..or at least add a few things to my wish list. I don't know, between Netflix and SwapADVD I don't really like to buy DVDs anymore. I can get them temporarily, rip them, re-burn the avis to DVD and watch them on the new player. Though I have to admit, the 10 seasons of SG-1 look pretty impressive on the shelf!

Okay, I bought some school books, but I never meant to set this so I didn't buy necessary things (like school books). Just for fandom/leisure things. Anyway, this goal is complete.

Mission 101: Goal 98: Go 2 months w/out buying from iTunes twice

98. Go 2 months without buying from iTunes twice

Completed 2 of 2

DONE!!!!!!

Last purchase - 3/7/08
I was doing pretty well (had one month done!) and I just *had* to get the soundtrack to West Side Story. I had most of the songs, just not the 'official' movie soundtrack. Moron. It's not like it wouldn't have been there in April.

Yay! It's May 7 and I have only logged into iTunes for podcasts and to work on my ipod. I have some stuff saved as wish list items, but that's the only 'shopping' I've done there. Who knows, I might just go for two more months and complete this goal all in one shot.

******

Last purchase - 5/16/08

Bought all the stuff (plus some more!) that I'd stored on my wishlist, so this should get me through the next 2 months. (I'll just have to buy Season 5 of SGA late....)

Mission 101: Goal 97: Call one new person off my flist 10 times

97. Call one new person off my flist 10 times

Completed 0 of 10

Just so my flist really becomes that (a list of friends), and some of them I really do want to get to know better. I mean, I have unlimited nights and weekends! That has to be a sign!

Mission 101: Goal 96: Finish K's website and show her how to update it

96. Finish K's website and show her how to update it

I started it for her last summer, but I've never showed her how to do anything to it. I think it would be a good place for us to put a family album and discussion forum. She can use it for her own pictures and stuff too....And S might need the space at some point, who knows?

Mission 101: Goal 95: Sell or give away all the Legolas posters I have

95. Sell or give away all of the Legolas posters I have

I have a tube full of oh...8 or 10 Legolas posters that I purchased in a frenzy of elf-loving when I first joined the LotR fandom. I've never hung them up. I barely looked at them before I put them in the tube to store.

Mission101: Goal 94: Do monthly breast self-exams

94. Do monthly breast self-exams

Completed 11 of 33

I'm lazy and don't do them anymore. Not much history in my family, but it's a good idea, goes toward me taking control of my own health.

Mission 101: Goal 93: Copy Family VHS (home movies) to DVD

93. Copy Family VHS (home movies) to DVD Finish the WIP about the spies.

It's called So Fine. I have 1 chapter posted, I haven't touched it since it went up. (I don't even have it posted on my own site or at oeam...it's at one site, dedicated to a friend as a memorial gift for her daughter). I need to get that finished. I think it could be half good.

I changed this because I already have a goal to write fanfic, so this seemed a little redunandt. Besides, I need to get the VHS stuff copied over while I still have a working VCR, and while some of the home movies are still operable!

Mission 101: Goal 92: Fix or replace the seat in my car

92. Fix or replace the seat in my car

In Progress!

Sounds stupid, but the frame is bent, so I'm practically lying down in the back seat in order to drive. I've tried pillows behind my back, etc. Doesn't work for long. At the moment, I have a large cooler sitting on the backseat, right behind the driver's seat. It's long enough that the front seat can't lean back. Obviously, that takes up so much room, it's ridiculous. I either need to get the frame bent back so it's closer to a 90 degree angle, or find a wrecked/used car and buy the seat and have it installed.

Okay--this is in progress! Bought the seat, and have gone to collect it. It is now in the back of sis's Jeep, needing a shampooing. Then she and I (unless I can bribe the neighbor into doing it) will have to put it in the car. The upholstery doesn't match, but that's the least of my concerns, really. I might try to keep the old seat and see if somewhere down the line I can swap the upholstery...though that probably won't happen. Never hurts to think ahead though.

Mission 101: Goal 91: Apply for a passport

91. Apply for a passport

This will be important eventually. I do intend to go to Italy someday!

Mission 101: Goal 90: Create a will/living will

90. Create a will/living will

Not sure if I have to do these separately. (Better research things!) But I know I want the living will part down on paper. I've told K, but I really want others to know. (If I'm in a coma and brain damaged...pull the plug!) Then I need a traditional will. Don't have anything to pass on but debts (and Mocha) right now, but that will change.

Mission 101: Goal 89: Leave the tv off for 24 hours at least 16 times

89. Leave the tv off for 24 hours at least 16 times.

Completed 10 of 16

This one will be HARD. I better not do it the same day I'm trying not to play computer games, huh? I have the tv on the whole time I'm up, even if I'm not watching it. It's like in college, when I used to leave the radio on all the time. The only time it's off is when I go to bed. (Sometimes I even leave it on to nap!)

I should have done a couple of those times when the Writers strike was on...all the shows were repeats, now they're new again! I do turn it off when I'm listening to an audiobook or music on the ipod, that'll have to be my saving grace!

******
I left the tv off on Saturday night and all through Sunday (March 8 & 9). Wasn't as bad as I'd feared. :D

******
TV was off Friday night (Apr 25 around midnight until Sunday pm)

******
Off on Sat. Sept 13

******
Okay, May 2 & 3. TV went off about 0100 on May 3, and stayed off all day, evening, night, etc.

******
May 17, the tv stayed off all day (and then some)

Sept. 20 & Sept. 21 (1700 to 1840)

Mission 101: Goal 88: Make a second 101/1001 list so it is ready to go when I finish this mission

88. Make a second 101/1001 list so it is ready to go when I finish this mission

I saw this idea on someone else's list, and thought it was a good thing to do, so I added it to mine. I have it all set up in Excel (tab named 2010-2013) and I have 58 items on it already. Might have to edit as time gets closer, but at least I've got a good start on it. (Unlike this time, when I started the mission with 20 some goals yet to decide).

Mission 101: Goal 87: Fix the box springs so they fit on the frame better

87. Fix the box springs so they fit on the frame better.

Or maybe I have to re-align the frame so the box springs fit better. They're a little off, so the box springs are pushed right up against one side, but on the edge of the inside of the frame on the other. Anyway, I think the frame is slanted--not parallel.

Mission 101: Goal 86: Rip all remaining CDs, then get rid of them

86. Rip all remaining CDs, then get rid of them

In Progress - Everything is listed at Amazon

I finally got them all ripped and into iTunes, now they're in one of the boxes to be sold. I only kept the three from LotR because I love the little books and the cases are so cool. I don't listen to CDs. I never have. I rarely even listen to tapes in my car anymore either. I'm trying to put everything on the computer/iPod so they're all together. (Of course, then I burn them to a DVD for back up....)

This is essentially done. I mean, I have the ones that were lying around listed on Amazon. Just need to dig out the rest and list them. Probably do that today (Apr 17)

I've sold 5 CDs, 2 books, and a DVD at Amazon. I listed a bunch more of my CDs, so I'm hoping they'll go soon too. The books cost more to send, but they seem to sell faster while the cds are cheaper to mail, and make more money for a seller, (Amazon's commission is less) they don't have as high a sale price usually...so it's a wash as to which one makes more money...

May 17 - Sold 10 CDs now, plus 2 of the Andromeda collection DVDs, Season 2 of MacGyver, and a book. Made a little money. Going to keep listing CDs until they're all listed, then if they don't sell at the end of 90 days (I think that's Amazon's limit), I might just list the whole bunch at ebay for like...5 bucks plus shipping. At least I'll get rid of them!

May 26 - Sold the last Andromeda DVD (Season 1, Collection 1), 3 CDs, a book, the Pearl Harbor DVD and swapped 4 DVDs plus the Law & Order Season 1 box set. Also sold Steve the Wraith and listed the Psi Corps Trilogy paperbacks. (had to relist as they didn't sell the first time). Then...finally, listed ALL of my remaining CDs, plus listed 45 DVDs (in addition to MacGyver Seasons 1 & 3, and an audiobook box set. Anyway...I'll make an accounting of the DVDs I have left in the appropriate post...Later in the evening...sold MacGyver Season 3, Lord of War, & 7 Brides for 7 Bros!

May 27 - More DVDs and CDs sold. Moulin Rouge was the last CD I got ready to ship.

June 23 - Had to relist some CDs/DVDs that I had put up in April, If they don't sell this time, I'll haul them to the secondhand store and/or the people project.

Mission 101: Goal 85: Pare down my DVD collection to 80 from 150+

85. Pare down my DVD collection to 80 from 227

Completion: 111 of 147 gone

I have SO many, I have them stored in three or four places, doesn't make for convenient viewing. Plus, I have some DVDs that I just don't watch anymore, or that I've watched once but just don't like enough to keep. Finally, now that I have a player that plays avis from burned discs, I don't need all the extra packaging. I've tried listening to commentary or watching extras from some movies and I just don't like them. (Except for LotR...I liked some of those extras and commentaries). Anyway, I just don't NEED all the big cases and extra deluxe editions of things.

I added a bunch of movies to my SwapADVD list, and sent out several. Of course, that means I'll get some in return too, so sometimes, using SwapADVD is a push. Right now though, I have lots more outgoing than incoming, so I'm paring down my DVD collection. I figure if I can't get rid of them any other way, I'd take them to Valu Villa or post them in lots on ebay for a low price. At least that way, I will get paid for shipping them.

May 17 - I sold MacGyver Season 2 and Andromeda collection 1-3 on Amazon, so 2 more gone. However...I also received The 4400 Season 4 and MacGyver season 3. Push. Oh well.

May 26 - I just counted all my DVDs. 190. That's not counting any that I've already sold or swapped (and not gotten any in return for yet). So...I had way more than 190 when I started this. I have 142 left on my shelves. (That's counting boxed sets as 1 each (like...Season 1 of SG1 has 5 discs, I only counted it as one.) I have a bunch in the 'to be sold' box and listed at Amazon, I'll list them twice (You can list something for 90 days before Amazon pulls it)...then if they don't sell, I'll take them to Valu Villa. At least they aren't sitting around here. Or maybe I'll sell like...10 at a time on ebay for ...oh, a dollar plus shipping/handling. (At least enough handling so I can pay ebay and paypal fees and make a dollar or two) Okay, sold MacGyver Season 3, Lord of War, and 7 Brides for 7 Bros. Won't subtract them from the total above, as I did that when I listed them. But I'm getting them counted down!

May 27 - Okay, KOH, King Arthur have sold and I added Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, My Fair Lady, Breakfast At Tiffany's and West Side Story. All 4 were added to the for sale box, so my count here is up to 65 gone.

May 30 - will finish ripping Andromeda this weekend, so I listed it along with several other movies again.

June 23 - Got some more from SwapDVD but ripped and listed them right away, so I'm not even counting them. I did, however, list and sell some others. So only about 30 to go.

Aug 22 - I listed 6 more DVDs (and four more text books).

Sept 6 - I finally counted the DVDs I have on my shelf yet. Anyway, I had to adjust. I've only gotten rid of 111, not 123. 30+ more to go....

Mission 101: Goal 84: Buy food and/or kitty litter for the shelter 20 times

84. Buy food and/or kitty litter for the shelter 20 times

Completed 1 of 20

I donate to the national Humane Society, but this way, I know I'm helping animals locally.

I've bought some cat food, just need to deliver it. Done - delivered it on Oct 2, 2008

Mission 101: Goal 83: Read and review 75 fanfic stories (chapters count as a story)

83. Read and review 75 fanfic stories (chapters count as a story)

Completed 50 of 75

I often read fics, but don't always leave reviews. Plus, I've sort of quit reading fic regularly. I hope to remedy that with this goal.

I read several onlist lately, and then I just read an SGA one and reviewed it.

Just read/commented on a Teyla/Lorne fic by miera_c. She does write them well!

Read a bunch of Tolkien stories onlist. Have a few more to read that I've printed off too...

No. 34 was an SGA fic. Made me sniffle.

Nos. 35-37 were Alex's 2 lotr, 1 firefly.

No. 38 was an SGA fic by jen_rock.

No. 39 was SG-1 Sam n' Jack letters by alex

No. 40 was an Erestor one by talullah

Nos. 41-49 were 2 of alex's (1 Sam/Jack, 1 Oropher, A multi-chapter (3) by Agie for Ardor in August, Chaotic_Binky had 1 from triple dog dare (hair), a drabble from minuial nuwing for a total of 7, Iamme's Book of Ages, and phyncke's triple dog dare (hair) fic for a total of 9.

No. 50 was a McKay/Lorne pwp by slybrarian.

Mission 101: Goal 82: Organize/weed out bookmarks

82. Organize/weed out bookmarks

I have THOUSANDS of bookmarks. I use maybe...100 or less? I really need to get rid of the ones that I don't use or don't work. Then organize the rest so they're easier to actually find when I need them. Half the time, I google for stuff and realize I already have the place marked, but I can't find the bookmark!

Mission 101: Goal 81: Establish a sane sleep pattern (11-12 to 7-8-9)

81. Establish a sane sleep pattern (11-12 to 7-8-9)

In Progress

I was SOOO bad before...staying up all night or until 5 or 6 am, then sleeping til 2 or 3 pm (or sometimes, til 5 or 6 pm). I was ALWAYS tired and out of sorts.

It's slow-going but I've started going to bed at 1 or 2 am (or sometimes by midnight!) and then making sure I'm up by 10 (11 am if I don't have to go anywhere).

I should be back in a good routine in a month or so, I hope. (Then I need to make myself shower w/in an hour of getting up...sometimes I don't shower til late evening....)

Had a bit of a relapse last week or two, but have been in bed by 1230 (earlier a couple of nights) for the past 3-4 nights. Was awake by 0745 this am, but didn't feel well, so I went back to bed til noon. Anyway, I'm going to try REALLY hard to stay in this pattern--especially over the weekend--and then I'll be well on the way to accomplishing this goal.

May 17 - Going to start this over again. I'm back to the whole staying up til 4 am (or later) and getting up at 2 pm....Urk.

Aug 23 - Okay, having to be at work by 7am has really forced me to go to bed earlier. I still don't go to bed much before midnight/1 am, but that's better than 4 am. Plus, I'm not sleeping til noon or past. (Okay, I did on Saturday, but....) Anyway, slow but sure, I hope.

Sept 21 - I've moved my bedtime to about 1 am finally. Next step is moving it to midnight, and getting up at 9 or earlier. (I stay in bed til 11 some days!)

Mission 101: Goal 80: Convert cassettes to mp3

80. Convert cassettes to mp3 Use Bare Minerals eye shadows every time I teach a class

In Progress

I love to buy eye shadows and brushes. I just never use them! I love the BE make up, so that's easy to use every day (even if I don't go out!) I tend to get lazy when it comes to using the eye shadows that I spent (lots) of money on. If I wear some each time I teach (including using mascara and lining them) I'll be making use of them, as well as teaching myself (again) how to apply them! (I've never really used liner on the top lid, and the few times I've used the BE liner and brushes I've been pleased. Now to make it faster/smoother process)

I finally didn't cheat and use the well-rested for a class. I actually put on two shades and mascara. Next up: liner!

Wearing the eyeshadow was too unmeasurable. I changed it to something that I could evaluate, know when it was 'done'

Besides, I have the cassette player, the cable and I know how to do it, just need software (which is free online) Also...can't buy the entire Rock of Life cassette anywhere!

Mission 101: Goal 79: Get family tree info from Dad/Mom/relatives and consolidate it

79. Get family tree info from Dad/Mom/relatives and consolidate it

I know Dad has a lot of information from his side, mom too and certain aunts and uncles (and cousins) have more, but I don't think anyone has it all. I'm at the point where I'm interested in some of it now.

Mission 101: Goal 78: Drink 12 oz of water before a can of pop -- quit drinking pop--COMPLETED!!

78. Drink 12 oz of water before a can of pop -- quit drinking pop

COMPLETED!!!

I don't know exactly when I started drinking pop so much again. There's no way I can get into better shape if I continue to do so. Plus, I never drink water when I drink pop. So now, for every ounce of pop I have, I am going to drink the same amount of water. That will do two things...get me to drink more water and probably drink less pop over all.

It helps when I told sis to stop BUYING pop. And then at work, instead of getting a can of coke to drink during class, I got coffee instead. And/or water. I've tried to drink at least 8 oz of water when I take my meds too, so that is another plus. Anyway, I consider this goal accomplished. I'll edit if I return to pop drinking.

Mission 101: Goal 77: Donate blood 3 times

77. Donate blood 3 times

Completed 0 of 3

I've been lazy. I need to get back to regular donating.

Mission 101: Goal 76: Apologize, and mean it to certain people that deserve it

76. Apologize, and mean it to certain people that deserve it

I can think of two people immediately that I need to apologize to. I need to get over the feeling guilty bit so I can focus on being sincere instead of covering my ass when I do it.

Well...one of them isn't going to get an apology. For a long time, I'd thought that my behavior toward this person was inappropriate, and that our conflict/falling out was my fault. I've reconsidered that after enduring one more of her digs at me when I wasn't being spiteful or mean to begin with. Yeah, some of our conflict was due to me--I'll accept my 50%. But as long as I've known her, she won't admit to being anything other than a victim. She's proven it time and again, and tonight was the last straw. I'm not apologizing. I wouldn't be sincere, and she'd never accept it sincerely either. Too much bad blood and contradictory views. Yeah, I know it's wrong. I know I'm rationalizing and trying to justify it. Too bad. I said that I had to mean it and I won't. So not going to do it.

Mission 101: Goal 75: Get rid of 501 material items (any kind, anyway)

75. Get rid of 501 material items (any kind, anyway)

Completed 240 of 501

This is part of the de-cluttering efforts on my part. The 10 things so far are DVDs. I sent them off to other people in SWAPaDVD. (Actually, I've sent off more like..16 but received only 6 in return. I have also collected things to be sold at ValuVilla, ebay, or Amazon into two containers and will start putting them up for sale soon. That'll bump me up to around 60 items.

You bet I'm counting all the stuff I swap on SwapADVD and the stuff I sell on Amazon/ebay. (If I receive a DVD from a swap, then I subtract 1 from the completed side)

Sold pokemon, books, cds, dvds, etc. Have a bunch more stuff listed too. Also need to send off a few things to ValuVilla and/or the nieces and nephews who will use some of it....

As of May 7, I've sold more CDs/books on Amazon, plus 3 more pokemon plushies. I've also given away some stuff to friends via mail.

May 17 - 5 more items sold, 1 more given away. (Loz figure to Alex) Oh! And a book and some lip balm and lotion to lilithilien.

May 24 - the extra Steve Wraith sold at ebay. (Also got rid of a DVD at Swap, but received one at the same time)

May 25-26 - Swapped 4 DVDs plus a box set, but they'll come back to me (hopefully in the form of Seasons 4 - 7 of MacGyver, which I can rip, then re-sell). Sold outright 2 DVDs, 3 CDs, and a book to up the total by 6.

Since I'm counting everything I sell, maybe I should up the total to like...1001 or 500 or something. We'll see...have to think about that. Sold more DVDs/CDs. Plus I'm going to send some old jewelry to that cash4gold.com place. I have a lot of old BH gold which is 12k. This place pays by the pennyweight (dwt). I had to look up the conversion. I weighed the jewelry (got some of sis's as well...a couple of necklaces that we're not sure if it's gold or gold plated, and if it's 12k or otherwise. Anyway, I wrote the weight of each piece down, so I hope we'll know what they accept and what they don't. Anyway, once it's weighed, I convert to dwt (looked it up on the net, of course). Then multiply the 12k charge by pwt. *IF* it all is gold, and at least all 12k, we *might* get 5-600 bucks! Anyway, I'm sending in 9 items, pretty sure they'll take 6. For now, I'm counting all 9. I'll adjust the total if I get any back.

Going to up the 101 total to 501. Just way too easy since I've started selling things...

May 30 - Listed more movies at Amamzon.

June 13 - Listed some software (old old copy of MS Office 97), and ...oh, 6 purses that I've used a bit, but they look good, a BE brush that I bought and never used and the old external DVD burner. The BE brush and software sold in like...less than an hour! Also might have made a mistake, but I bought a bunch more pokemon plushies and mini figs, and I listed them again as a set...8 plushies and 10 mini figs, and the plushies average 35 to 40 bucks each. Anyway, I'm asking 450 for the whole lot, couple of people watching, but it might be other sellers. Of course, I fretted over the last time and over night, they got bought. But this is for more money too..*sigh* If I get desperate halfway through, I'll lower the price. Or maybe I'll relist it at a lower price...

June 23 - The eevees didn't sell, so I relisted them at a lower price. Only 2 of the 6 purses sold, so I'm taking the rest to the secondhand store. Also sold Dellrohir (the old laptop). Listed most of the remaining pokemon and have nibbles on a couple. If they don't sell this time, I'll pack them up and sell Nintendo for awhile, then put the pokemon up again later.

June 29 - Went through all of my textbooks/research material books that have piled up in my closet for years and listed them. 39 to be exact. Also listed the Tolkien books I bought and never even opened (the HOME series, Morgoth's ring, etc.) I'm hoping that some of the textbooks are up in time for people going back to school in the fall...I'd never even thought about listing them before.

Aug 22 - Listed 6 more DVDs and 4 more books on Amazon. Going to get started on listing Nintendo stuff on ebay soon too. Have to stop at storage first and pick up the Pikachu N64. And maybe more textbooks?

Aug 26 - I went to my storage shed and brought home three rubbermaid containers full of books--mostly text books, but a few novels. Got them somewhat organized and listed all of them at Amazon. Sold a couple of them right off, hopefully, more will sell over the long Labor Day weekend.

Sept 24 - Sales at Amazon have REALLY slowed down (like to nothing in 2 weeks!) But I did ask on my flist if anyone wanted some Pilates VHS tapes and kln bought them. Since there are 3, but they're really a set, I counted them as one item.

Oct 2 - Finally delivered the non-sold ebay items to People Project. Need to check on books to the library and VHS to valu villa (or ebay, haven't decided yet)

Mission 101: Goal 74: Clean out closet so ALL of it is accessible DONE DONE DONE

74. Clean out closet so ALL of it is accessible

COMPLETED!!!

With such a small room, I need to keep it organized and uncluttered so I can use it all efficiently. I let things pile up in the closet to the point where I have to move lots and lots of stuff to get at needed books or something. I have to stop that!

Mission 101: Goal 73: Get rid of clothes I don't/can't wear

73. Get rid of clothes I don't/can't wear

COMPLETED!!!

I have way too many things stuffed into drawers or in the back of the closet that I haven't touched in years. I need to get rid of it!

I cleaned out the dresser drawers on Wed. (Apr 30). Felt good!

Cleaned out the old hanging clothes from the closet. Pretty left nothing there. Rule of thumb = if you don't wear it for 2 years, you never will. (This applies to everyone on diets too, when you lose the weight to fit back into something, you'll want something new, so you still won't wear it).

Mission 101: Goal 72: Change the shade in my room to mini blinds

72. Change the shade in my room to mini blinds

Might be too little too late, but I'd like to be able to let the sun in once in awhile without being afraid that the shade will fall completely down.

Mission 101: Goal 71: Fix my computer desk permanently (the keyboard pullout section)

71. Fix my computer desk permanently (the keyboard pullout section)

This doesn't sound like a big deal, but I've put off *really* fixing it for about...4 years? I do patch jobs, and repatch jobs and....Anyway, the little pull out part is worn down on one side, so it sags when I pull it out too far. It's uncomfortable typing that way, so I need to find a permanent solution. Or get a new desk. I don't want to do that.

66. Be more social! Go out to lunch/movies, w/K 30 times

Completed 10 of 30

It's too easy to say no and stay home!

Well, we were going to see Indiana Jones...the instead, we planned on going to Deadwood over Memorial Day weekend..then sis got sick, so I did all the weekend running for her. Flirted with the bag boy at the grocery store. (yeah, he's 16, but cute!) At least I got my groceries carried out without the bread getting smashed! I'm counting this as 1!

We went to Deadwood on my bday. Also going out to eat with her and some friends from work and then to see a play that one of their kids is in. So that'll be one more...(which I already counted).

Kelly and I went to dinner with her colleagues and then the play, then the next day I actually went to work because they celebrated my bday...so that was a social outing too! yay!

Am going to count 3 times over vacation. Went to touristy spots with the whole family, even though I could have opted to stay home at least twice. (home meaning the cabins)

Went to a Mary Kay party on a whim. Well, on the spur of the moment. I'm also kind of having fun working more...so maybe when I'm done, I'll count that as one time too. Heh.

Am going to the WW meetings weekly and speaking up, and visiting before and after with people. I think that counts...

Extra classes...that I didn't have to take, gabbing with more people online, etc.

Mission 101: Goal 65: Contact cousins/extended family 20 times

65. Contact cousins/extended family 20 times

Completed 3 of 20

Need to keep in touch with them more regularly!

October 2008 - I found Erin, Scott, and Rachel on MySpace and contacted each of them so they'd friend me. Rachel even wrote a note that I answered...I figured on emailing them at least once a month from now on....

Mission 101: Goal 64: Send cards, little gifts, etc to friends/family at least 30 times

64. Send cards, little gifts, etc to friends/family at least 30 times

Completed 7 of 30

For no reason...I receive things from people, I'd like to send fun stuff more often!

I got pira a blinkie doll (made by elflover...)

Mission 101: Goal 63: Make it a habit togive warm fuzzies to a friend/family member…

63. Make it a habit to give warm fuzzies to a friend/family member…

I don't do this enough, so I'd like to get into the habit. I know I like receiving them....

Mission 101: Goal 62: Finish Dissertation proposal (incl conf call) by Sept 30.

62. Finish Dissertation proposal (incl conf call) by Dec 15.

Yeah, right.

I changed the date to May 31--it's more realistic.

And one more change...to June 30 because I'm basically re-writing it!

June 28: I got the ...hurry up or you're getting kicked out from the uni. So I'm hurrying up. A two week proposal. I can do it. I mean, I found a way (I think) I can get the existing stuff incorporated into the new draft, so I don't have to re-do everything. That should save me lots of time/effort. I hope.

Okay...one more quarter! erk.

Okay..this HAS to be it. Dec 15.

Mission 101: Goal 61: Find a brand new RPG to join (one that I don't start or host!)

61. Find a brand new RPG to join (one that I don't start or host!)

In Progress

I think I'd like to be in a game that I don't have to maintain or run. (Though it might drive me crazy because I'm not in control)...but it'd be nice to see how others do things/come up with ideas...

May 17 - I found a FFVII-AC game that looks interesting. Asked the mods a question or two, then maybe I'll put in an app. Only have to update 1 every three weeks, (of course, can do more), so it shouldn't be bad. Only disadvantage is that it's on LJ. Not too happy with that format for games, but like I said, if I get in, I'll try it.

Mission 101: Goal 60: Register at job finding site(s)/head hunter?

60. Register at job finding site(s)/head hunter?

The question mark is because I don't know if I'll need to get one!

Mission 101: Goal 59: Mail the Jaycee Pioneer pins/certifs to K so she can take them over

59. Mail the Jaycee Pioneer pins/certifs to K so she can take them over

COMPLETED!!!

She's more in touch with the current Jaycees than I am....

Didn't email K, replied to Dawn K instead. (May 26) Asked her if she wanted me to do them, or would they rather I send them to the state office. Stupid for them not to award them! It's 75 bucks per award for the state office, pure profit. Kelly M didn't use them last year....he was a butt.

All mailed off, except a backup disc of the files. I emailed those to Dawn. Certifs and pins should hit her doorstep next week. Yes....I'm glad to give those away, I've been too out of touch with the state organization to be much help in promoting this....

Mission 101: Goal 58: Get a thorough physical

58. Get a thorough physical

Close, going to get my blood drawn for the cholesterol level, kidney function, etc. And getting an app to get a free pap and mammogram. Then sis is going to monitor my blood pressure because it was elevated at my last mini-checkup two weeks ago.

Mission 101: Goal 53: Go back to my hometown for a visit (longer than 2 days!)
